Delaware Route 2 (DE 2) is a state route in UD: Delancy Gorge and UD: Delancydrome Speed Complex. It begins just west of the Delancydrome Speed Complex, traveling right by it. DE 2 passes the Twin Pines RV Park & Campground, and into UD: Delancy Gorge. DE 2 reappears in a concurrency with Delaware Route 41. DE 2 splits off and heads east to Pomeroy, then north to South Harriston and possibly Port Harriston and later Harriston.

Overview[]

DE 2 appears in UD: Delancydrome Speed Complex far west of the the Delancy Gorge map, where it serves the Delancydrome Speed Complex, crosses the Swatara Reservoir, then heads into more mountainous terrain and off the map again. It is possible that the highway could be undivided in the revamp west of Pomeroy since it is undivided in the UD: Delancydrome Speed Complex, which could mean that the speed limit will be around 50 mph in that area, but it is unknown if that will happen. In the future, Delaware Route 2 will be extended east of Delancy Gorge, straight into the city of Harriston as one of the main surface roads. It is unknown if DE 2 will be divided highway in this area or not, but it is likely to get narrower, regardless. It will also go through South Harriston and Port Harriston once the revamp of UD: Delancy Gorge releases. The route goes primarily east-west. It is unlikely for DE 2 to connect to Pennsylvania unlike much of the other east-west highways since the UD: Delancydrome Speed Complex map is situated west of the map.

History[]

DE 2 was originally a short state highway connecting Westover with Woodbury in the original UD: Westover Islands. From east to west, the old designation started at Delaware Route 3 (now US 40), then met Delaware Route 1 (now I-76) at a diamond interchange, then terminated at Delaware Route 5 (now Delaware Route 8) in Woodbury. After the Westover map was revamped, the old DE 2 became Chestnut Road, which is now a county road/is a county highway since September 2022 and the state designation was moved to UD: Delancy Gorge. It will continue to be in UD: Delancy Gorge when it's revamp comes out though much of the highway will likely change.

Speed Limits[]
