Overview[]

The 2009 Pontiac G8 is an American sedan in the Ultimate Driving Universe. The car was added on February 16, 2018 as a free car for all players due to the Philadelphia Eagles winning the Super Bowl LII. (Later becomes Purchasable vehicle as of Starter cars update). Currently, player can purchase this vehicle for Credits 26,000, and is known as the 2008 Tomahawk Wolverine in-game.

Recently, it became apart of five selectable starter cars, alongside the 1999 Ford Mustang GT, 2010 Audi TTS Roadster, 2012 McLaren MP4-12C (Requires 1,000 or 750 R$), 2014 Chevrolet Camaro RS, and 2015 Ram 1500 Laramie Limited as apart of the new interface for new players, allowing them to start out easier.

Description[]

The G8 is based on the Pontiac vehicle produced from 2008 to 2009. It is a re-badged version of the Australian-built Holden VE Commodore, later being rebadged and exported to North America as the Pontiac G8. The car's appearance is based on the top of the line GXP trim, powered by GM's 6.2L LS3 V8 engine from the Chevrolet Corvette C6, making 415 hp. The car also features a more performance-oriented suspension setup and ventilated Brembo disc brakes. It is the first Pontiac added to the game, as well as also the first Australian-produced car in the game.

Trivia[]

  • The Pontiac G8 in UD performs weaker than it does in real life, as its real counterparts have top speeds ranging from 145-165 MPH (233-266 KM/H) depending on the trim line. This is somewhat justified due to it being free and available to all players (As of Starter player Update, it became purchasable and its performance stats is unchanged).
  • Due to being a starter vehicle available to all players, including newer players and players who tend to drive recklessly, the G8 has gained somewhat of a controversial reputation.
  • As of August 16, 2020 the G8 was one of the first cars to be retuned with the new chassis, only at the Nurburgring Race Track.
  • Before September 19, 2020, this car could be bought for free. But after that time, you have to buy it for $26,000 after the New Chassis update.
